Field Guide
About
Small places. A little more attention.
Field Notes is a journal about noticing what is close at hand: the view from a window, the shape of a leaf, the light across a familiar path.
You do not need a spectacular destination or an expensive notebook to begin. Choose a place you can return to. Give it a few unhurried minutes. Write down what you can describe, and leave room for what you do not yet know.
This publication is also a demonstration of Plinth. Its essays and notebook prompts are original illustrative content, not reports of field observations. Artwork identified as AI-generated is illustration, not evidence for a species identification. Test accounts and temporary feature exercises stay separate from the finished journal.
Start with the first essay, try one prompt, and see what a second visit adds.
